What is Über Admin? How is it different from Admin?
This article explains the roles of Über Admin and Admin in Pisano, detailing their permissions, access to accounts, analytics, verticals, sample flows, LDAP configuration, and schema management, highlighting the differences between the two user types.
Über Admin is a user type with full control and modification rights across all accounts on Pisano, with access to all units. Since it provides access to every account within the environment, Über Admin privileges are not granted to external users in the Cloud; they are only available in On-Premise, customer-specific environments.
While administrators with horizontal permissions cannot access other admins, Über Admin can access and make changes to all admins regardless of horizontal or vertical permissions.
Über Admin users register on Pisano via the email addresses to which invitations are sent, enabling them to perform all operations. These invitations can only be sent by another Über Admin and are not an option when inviting regular users.
Key processes where Über Admin plays an important role include opening partner accounts, inviting initial users to the account, and managing fields in integration processes. Since Pisano employees do not have access to On-Premise environments, invitations for the Über Admin role are typically sent to designated business unit users.
In the Settings module of an Über Admin’s account, there is a dedicated menu specific to this role.
-
Pisano Members: On this page, other Über Admins can be viewed, and new Über Admin invitations can be sent.
-
Analytics: Analyses that can be used in reports by other users on the account can be prepared on this page. These analyses can be accessed in the Reports module by clicking the "Select from Ready Analyses" button.
-
Accounts: All accounts within the environment can be viewed here. This page is one reason why Über Admin privileges are not granted to regular users in the Cloud environment. In On-Premise environments, only the account of the relevant partner will be visible.
-
Account Statistics: This page displays the following data for the accounts within the environment.
-
Verticals: The sector in which the user’s account operates can be specified here. Companies serving multiple sectors can add more than one vertical. For example, a banking company can add "Banking," while a clothing brand can add "Retail." These verticals can also be used by AI analytics systems, such as ChatGPT, to help classify incoming feedback.
-
Sample Flows: A flow created in the Flows module can be selected as a Sample Flow on this page. Similar to the Analytics page, flows accessible to other users in the account appear as sample flows.
-
LDAP Configuration: LDAP is an authentication and authorization platform. Pisano users who will access the system via LDAP can configure it on this page.
-
Schema: Schemas contain information used within flows and can be embedded in feedback. They can also be used in integrations with other systems. For example, a schema like
dealer_nocan be created for a dealer code.
What Can an Admin Do?
Admins have the authority to restrict certain features and advanced reporting based on user type. They can view and use all areas of the platform.
