Unsubscribe Function

Pisano provides the abilitiy of opting out of registrations and withdrawing contact permissions.

The 'Unsubscribe' button on Pisano allows users reached through channels such as SMS or email to unsubscribe from future communications. This feature gives users control over the messages they receive and allows them to easily stop future survey requests if they wish.

When an end user uses the "Unsubscribe" button in the communication they receive, the existing customer profile in Pisano is updated and the subscription status becomes Passive.

When you want to communicate again with a customer whose subscription is passive, either manually or through API integration via Pisano, the system blocks communication with this customer.

  • Subscription in Workflows

Depending on the working logic of Workflows, a new customer profile is created each time a Workflow runs. If a Workflow integration is  done with only the customer's e-mail address or mobile phone information, communication will not be blocked and customers will be contacted because a new customer profile is created everytime a Workflow runs.

This means that an end user's "Unsubscribe" preferences are invalid.

In order for the subscription system to function in such cases, there must be information that makes the customer unique. If external_id information is given in addition to the customer's e-mail or mobile phone information, communication will be blocked if the subscription status is inactive since the customer will be managed individually.
