Managing Scheduled Reports via Workflow

Centralized scheduling and flexible delivery options for your reports.

With this feature, scheduled report deliveries can now be fully managed through the workflow. We have also incorporated many requests from our customers into this enhancement and released it accordingly.
You can access it via Workflow → Automation → Scheduled Reports.

With this feature, the following capabilities are available:

  • The delivery frequency of reports (daily, weekly, monthly, yearly) can be configured.

  • For the Summary Type, you may select an existing report or a summary report.

  • The Target Type field allows you to define where the report will be delivered. After selecting the relevant unit or channel, the users associated with that unit/channel are listed. These users must have permissions for the report being delivered; otherwise, they will not appear in the recipient list.

  • The Report Date field defines which period’s data will be displayed on the dashboard for the scheduled report.

The available date operators are as follows:

Last Week:
Covers the previous full week.
Example: If today is March 20, selecting “Last Week” sends data for March 10–16.

Last Month:
Covers the previous full month.
Example: If today is March 20, selecting “Last Month” sends February data.

Last [X] Days/Weeks/Months:
Covers the selected number of units counted backward from today.
Example: Selecting “Last 7 Days” sends the last 7 days of data.

This Week:
Covers the period from the beginning of the current week to yesterday.
Example: If today is Wednesday, it includes data from Monday to yesterday.

This Month:
Covers the period from the beginning of the current month to yesterday.
Example: If today is March 20, it includes March 1–20.

Between:
Enables users to define a custom date range by selecting start and end days.
This is applicable for a combination of the previous month and the current month.

Start Day:
Defines the report’s start day in the previous month.
Example: If 7 is selected, the report starts on the 7th of the previous month.

End Day:
Defines the report’s end day in the current month.
Example: If 7 is selected, the report ends on the 7th of the current month.

Example: Start Day = 7, End Day = 7 → The report covers February 7–March 7.

Additional Capabilities

  • The message content of the delivered report can be customized through the email subject and body fields. These fields are optional; if left blank, the default format will be used.

Advantages

  • All digest-related functions are now centrally managed under the Workflow.

  • Users can automatically send any report at any desired frequency and date range.

  • Date operators provide flexible and use-case-oriented scheduling options.

📌 Note: With this feature, the previously scattered Digest settings under profile/unit/channel/account sections have been removed. Everything is now consolidated under the Workflow.
